Client Benefits

Pet Sitters International Accredited Member

We became an accredited pet sitting service in 2008 and are active members with Pet Sitters International. Accreditation for pet sitting describes a formal training course that PSI provides to pet sitters who seek to learn a complete knowledge of the field. The course teaches animal behaviors, health and first aid, and care tips for sitting all types of domesticated animals. Pets Not Home Alone is comfortable with caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, small caged critters, birds, fish, and horses.

First Aid & CPR Certification

We earned first aid and CPR certification for cats and dogs in 2008 with Pets America. We also successfully completed disaster awareness planning; in the event of a natural disaster, such as Hurricane Ike, all clients away from home will be called asap to plan the best course of action to keep their pet(s) safe. During violent storms and hurricanes, we are unable to visit pets until the weather and roads are favorable to commute.

Insurance Coverage

Regular insurance policies help limit the liability that pet sitting may involve towards your pets and property by negligence. However, insurance does not cover unexpected animal behavior towards property, people, and death of the pet while they are unsupervised between pet visits; during your consultation, we will ask how your pet(s) behave alone so we can make the best accommodations to keep everyone safe.

Bonding Coverage

A secondary insurance coverage to cover the liability of pet sitting personnel who access your property while visiting your pet(s).
